Finding a wedding photographer is the first step to the best wedding photos…. You might be thinking, DUH! But what I mean is your wedding photos are the memories of that day, the walk through of that day, part of your story.

Finding a wedding photographer that is a good fit for you!
That is the true first step. As a wedding photographer I want my couples to enjoy their day, and have memories they can cherish for a lifetime. Find the photographer’s style that sparks the most joy (thank you Marie Kondo) for you! Meet them, and see if you mesh!
Alright you have your wedding photographer booked! Now what?
Depending on your timeline you want to spend some time getting on the same page as your photographer. Have an initial meeting to identify all the questions.
Step 2 to the best wedding photos!
Being on the same page as your wedding photographer.
From the getting ready location all the way to your wedding hashtag, if you have one, great wedding photos are all in the details. I have built a list of 30 questions that I get out in the open at our first meeting. These questions are not meant to be answered right away but it’s a way to get on the same page. Planning your wedding day involves moving parts (a few or a lot) and as the planning progresses, these questions will have answers.
By now a plan is starting to be built and including your wedding photographer on this plan is super important to get the best wedding photos!
Step 3 to the best wedding photos!
A solid timeline of the day.
Don’t worry! This timeline is flexible and is likely to change a bit. But! It is an outline of the day so your photographer knows where to be and when. Getting a solid timeline in place for your big day is key in getting the best wedding photos!

Be yourself, Relax, and Enjoy your wedding day.
This is the MOST important part of getting the best wedding photos. If you are stressed it will show in your pictures. All wedding photographers want the best photos for you, let them stress about the timeline and details on the day of, we got your back!
